This is an image I took of the Discovery Shuttle launch this past week. It was taken from our front porch looking north to KSCC, about 100 miles away. It was an awesome site, as the mushroom shaped cloud of light ascended into the night. It was one of the brightest and most beautiful night light displays either of us have ever experienced.
I modified the image primarily with Poster Edge, Ink Outlines.
Mark, Very cool looking abstracts! I saw the images you posted on F&F and they were very neat. I like the bold use of colors and the interesting effect that poster edge has created-In this case the frame adds to the image!Very well done.
Thanks Cindy and Denise. Appreciate the viewing and comments.
Yes, it was one of those once in a lifetime events. The only other light show I can remember that comes close, was the first time we viewed the meteor showers out in the darkness of the country at about 3 A.M. one day a few years ago. While late night viewing is not my forte  ;), sometimes it brings lasting memories of spectacular events.
