    Default HDR In B&W

Posting this image here rather than the traditional place which should be Travel to show a few things I was trying out... might give you some ideas.

We have been doing lots of HDRs and processed this on a little different ... after the normal conversion and tweaking in Photmatix I went to Color Efex and used the camera thermal infrared filter which gave a neat effect, tweaked the controls then went to Silver Efex for more local enhancements then back to Color Efex for the finishing touch darkening the periphery and lightening the center. Lots of possibilities to experiment ... btw all the enhancements can be done in PS its just more convenient and faster !!

Agree with all the above comments. What i like best is the person sitting on the bench way at the back. It glues the HDR together.

I love the tonal range in this image. Thanks for explaining your technique, I can't wait to try it. I was thinking of having my 10d converted to infrared but the better investment my be Color Efex.

Agree with all the comments above, the tonal range is over the top and so is the mood. One minor thing for me, the floor is full of line and they feel a bit slant, maybe a CW rotation.
