Since it looks like the colony at Nickerson is starting to thin out....looked back on a few files from last month. I made it our for sunrise as the parents were teaching a few clamming lessons.....I got him on his own for only a few seconds.

Roman, Nice warm light and a nice pose. I like the head turn with eye contact. BG and water look nice.

Excellent composition, Roman. Great exposure. Love that warm light and feather details.

Lovely light with the head turned just enough to be well lit. I love all the edged feathers and that tiny bill. And I like the frizzy tail but not the missing feathers behind the eye. I would of course prefer a bit more room above and in front. I like to leave the tight cropping to the editors.

    Great colors and tone, Roman.

I like the way the F9 gave you nice depth of field across the breadth of the bird's body.

Real sweet light and great comp. Maybe just a bit tight. Just my taste.
