    I like the perspective you took this shot from and the depth of field you used. For some reason, on my monitor this image looks more like a painting than a photograph. One thing I would rather not see is the shadows though. Overall, this is a good looking image to me !

    Hi Desmond, The reason it might look a bit like a painting is I softened it a small amount but still retained some sharpness. Always trying new approaches. Thanks for the comment.

    Yes, you are now officially "the water lily guy." Might as well change your Avatar!

    I actually love the shadows in this case - they really give the whites another dimension and add to the overall depth of the image. I, too, think you are onto something with the softness - this does look like it's a cross between a painting and a photograph and it's lovely either way.

    Superb shot and stunning rendition. I love how you softened it a bit. It does look like a painting and it is a work of art. Well done!

    Beautifully done Dave! I like the way the image seems to glow. The combination of the black BG and the green at the bottom is very nice. Your yellows look great!

    Love the black BG and the green leaves. Very nice. Longwood gardens is really addictive...

    Hey Dave,
    I think it's very nice....but as you know I'm not the softer kind of guy! I'd prefer the sharper version.
