    Default Red Deer Hind

Autumn is approaching here, a few weeks away and i thought to dust out an image of my fav' deer place, Richmond Park. My preference being to go after the rut, when the mornings are mistier, and the autumn colors in full bloom. Whilst not nec' for stalking deer as dark clothing will do, I am usually togged up in cam clothing: (Cabelas Mossy Oak), as it does gain me a few yards and has oft meant the deer come towards me to check me out. 5D & 500 IS & monopod. 1/320 5.6, -0.67. ISO 200. Crop by choice.

Love the color and the simple comp with the head popping out of the surrounding vegetation.

This is a real beauty Dave. Great colors and detail. The head/neck angle plays off the OOF brush in the corner real well.

Splendid image with tricky lighting. Love the detail and the bright autumnal colours - gives a great sense of being there on a crisp autumn morning.
I'm wondering how many of your viewers realise that Richmond Park is in the suburbs of London!

    Well done!
