I've attempted several HK shots during early morning on Biscayne Bay and am glad to be able to present one here for critique. One of the things I love about the HK effect on the water are the reflections and the complete blending of sky and water. Hope you enjoy this one!

This effect was totally out of the camera. The only PP added to this photo was a slight crop on bottom and left and removed a bird flying through the scene.

Connie, This looks really great for a HK image. I can suggest a 2 pixel black border for presentation of HK images on BPN esp. w/ all white BG's or pale grey BG's- it helps to define the space more. I really like the blending of the sky into water as you mentioned. Very calm peaceful look to this!!
    PS I love your avatar!!!

Hi Connie, I like the subject matter and how you handled it. I don't think you need quite so much negative space in the image.

Dave and Denise, thanks for the feedback. Per your good suggestions, here is a repost. I cropped a bit more and added the black frame. I also found a few dust spots to remove.

    Hi Connie,
I like the original base image with the high-key...the repost with the black frame makes it pop...well done...

    beaautiful image Connie.
I like the space of the original with just a bit off the top....and a bit narrower black border.
    Picky aren't we?

    Love your image!!!!
