As Joe said we were treated to a skimming show last night for sure. Jimmy estimate 2/3 of the colony has left and the ones still around were enjoying the tidal pools left from Bill. With Danny on the way toward LI this may have been our last evening with them...

Here is a Juvi learning his craft.. Grace I did get some in the clear water ;)

    Still liking Panos for these....

    Thanks for looking,
    Lou

Are you making fun of me?? Seriously, I like the clean water and reflection alot. The pano crop is perfect for these. Maybe a touch more sharpening of his head?

Lou, Really nice pose and crop. I think you have a very clear shot of the face and it looks good. It's nice to see the young ones skimming!!

That water is like glass Lou. Sharp where it counts, and great to get the reflection too.

    Hi Lou,
Great meeting you also and yes, I greatly enjoyed the meeting and Alan's talk -thank you for your hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. It is always interesting to visit other camera clubs!
I love your image - echo the above comments and the light is just gorgeous...
It seems that you are having a stormy time at the moment.
    Best regards,
    Nicki

After the show they gave us last night they have earned the right to leave. Glad you got one of the images you have been after.

Like the pano crop and positioning the bird to include more of the wake.
The reflection is also a very nice touch.
    Nicely done!

I wasn't there to see what the light was like, but I seem to detect a magenta cast here. I love the perspective you captured here, and the small film of water from bill to pool is really cool.

Lou, pano works fine for me in this image. I like a lot the reflexion of the bird in the calm water and the trail in the surface. Neat eye contact and great light. Well done!

    Hey Lou,
Too bad the colony is thinning out! You guys and gals had some killer light that day and I really like the pano presentation! Very nice job!
