Hi everybody, I am sorry I haven't participated much, but I am away from home, in Chile to be more specific, visiting familly and friends.
After a week here yesterday I visited a plce to photograph Pelicans, very nice spot with great flights oportunities and some very nice light, as I have been seeing a lot of images of this place in a Chilean forum I decided I would try something different from those images, and here's what I managed to create. Hope you like and I hope to be able to start participating as much as I like soon.

Ramon: I like this very artistic rendering of the pelican. Even without the title, there would be no doubt what this is. A very unique image.

Great idea and rim light. I might crop a bit off the left and bottom where the contours end.

    Hi Ramon,

This is very very nice! Love the rimlight and the distinct form of a pelican that it creates. I think you could probably go a bit further with increasing the highlights to get a bit more out of your rimlight effect. Otherwise pretty much excellent!

To me the beauty of this shot is in the way it reduces the shape of the bird to a few very simple lines that are distinctly giving the pelican its shape.
    Outstanding!

    Thanks,
    Gerald

This one is fantastic Ramón, really creative and artistic. Very well seen. It reminds to my a superb image of a polar bear by Miguel Lasa that won an award in the BBC WPOTY contest. :)

Ramon, this is fantastic. If this is basically what you captured in-camera, then I give you an A plus for sure!

    Cheers,

Clever work Ramon, and this just works so well. Axel's suggestion regarding the crop is a good idea, and congrats on something different.

This is lovely and inspiring Ramon. Very well seen. It too reminds me of Miguel's Polar bear and just goes to show what wonderful talent is being shown here. VWD!

Gorgeous image Ramon. Love the minimalist feel of the silhouette.
