    Shot at Bodie,ghost town in Calif. Decided to leave the door as it was and convert brick wall to B&W. Thought it made an interesting contrast. After posting the image I saw that it might be improved by adding some brick to the bottom...If I remember correctly the reason I cut it there was some rubble and a hole in that area...

    Dave, I like the door it is full of interest. I kinda think it should be anchored to the ground somehow-but I realize this is what you saw. I might tone down the bricks if it were mine. Nicely seen.

    Denise, I was thinking the same thing - too bad there wasn't a step leading up to the door! That would have added so much to anchoring the image.

    Still...it's a lovely conversion! I love how the door pops right off the page! The lighting feels a little bit harsh but not so much that it's distracting.
