    Hi All,

    This is about 50% crop.Shot using a 40D and EF600mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x
Tv 1/1250Sec,Av F7.1,Ev -2/3 and ISO Speed -320.Used NI on the BG to remove the noise.I can still see the halo, tried a few things to get ride of it, but apparently wasn't very successful;)

Would be really helpful if someone can help me out.Do critique , looking forward to your comments as always

I like the wide crop, angle and pose of the bird. I would try to tone down the whites some, get more details in the blacks and might raise the color temperature a few degrees.

Wow Mohan Bhai, great catch this, it sure let you in its comfort zone. Great images from your Kutch trip I must say, Though I did not have the pleasure of shooting them this season, I sure enjoyed it through your lens. I loved the space around and the placement of the subject is good, lovely pose too. I too the courage to make some changes. hope it look ok.

I cleand out the noise (though you had done it well ran one more round, took of the halo round the head, made some level adjustments and little adjustment to the black and white

Great habitat, HA, and alert pose. The repost is much better, though the blacks still seem a bit blocked. Might want to re-convert

easily one of the best shot of this species... they are impossible to get on the ground... and that too at such close quarters... you have done amazingly well... a very difficult bird to expose...I loved the habitat feel of kutch here... Kiran's re-post has added even more to the image... Congrats on this one...

The out of focus tall grass in the background is a bit distracting to my taste and I agree about reworking the blacks and whites. The light is really nice and the composition works very fine in my opinion. Great eye contact and pose. Love this species! :-)
