Harshad, A beautiful, colorful image. May I ask what the background is? THe colors in it so nicely compliment the bird. The tip of the beak and the prey look slightly out of focus, perhaps dof issue? You keep on posting images like this from your country and I think you may have alot of visitors. :)

Wow, Harshad this is a really colorfull kingfisher. Colors are outstandid and composition works really nice for me. I only wish for more deep of field to show the spider sharp. Did you used some kind of noise reduction or gaussian blur to the background? I am asking because in some parts of the image (the bill tip and the left edge of the perch) there is a lack of details. The eye is killer

OK Harshad - I give in - your kingfisher is more colourful than mine. ;) Sweet pose showing off his spider catch. This guy is just so colourful, and I feel you have exposed the colours very well. A little bit of selective sharpening on the end of the beak and spider will work.

another cracker of this gorgeous bird! your NR and blur did affect the beak-tip and spider in the OP but in your RAW file you can see it is ever-so-slightly out of focus.

as Stu said - selective sharpening of the tip with pixels contracted slightly to avoid halos will sort this out real quick. I like the BG in your OP and love the way you nailed the colours on this one!!

I too felt the image had a colour cast. I believe you that this KF is spectacularly coloured, but Mital's version 'feels" more natural to me. Perhaps some saturation can be selectively added to the KF on Mital's version, but the magenta cast is gone now.

Super pose, and the catch is pretty darn cool. Had the KF's head been angled parallel to the sensor instead of turned a bit towards us the prey may had been more in focus. Still, not much to complain about with a terrific opportunity lie this!! :-)

I've got to see this bird in my lifetime Harshad! Another splendid capture, although I do wish you could have stopped down a bit more to get the prey in focus. Not a lot of wiggle room based on your tech specs.

Harshad, I like your last post the best. You know best what the colors of this bird, were...you were looking at it, and your background with the pastel colors is a great compliment to the bird. Congratulations on this fine capture!

Cool bird and the spider adds to it. The removed color cast and desaturation help a lot. I might selectively sharpen bill and spider.
