This time I wanted to try something different... Selectively changed the background to b/w. Blended the original with a DAP version followed by multiple adjustment layers for gradient, levels and also used burn tool for the shadows. Hope you like it.

Indranil, Beautiful rendering of this image! It all comes together very nicely. The B&W BG is very appealing and the gulls raised foot w/ the water is another nice bonus! Feels a bit tight in the frame-but that is a personal choice.

Very nicely done, Indranil. The combination of pp effects work very well. I like the pose of the gull. I see Denise's point, but on the other hand, I think a slice off the top would work well, too.

Hi Indranil, I like the colored bird and the B&W backround. The comp is good and would only like a bit more room on the right.

I like it. Nice image and effect.

A little too vertically centered for my taste, but nice non the less.

    Your image ... Your vision.

nicely presented IMO......good creative pp too.
Have you ever tried to do your burning on a soft light layer, there is absolutely
no color shifting as with regular burning
