    Very interesting shot
Tough bird to get any catch lights off the eye, but you did well to get it here.
Reflection is nice enough for me based on water conditions.
    Exposure looks good as well.
The bill position is a bit different as its closed, Normally I see these with the lower bill dropped into the water, dragging along with the upper bill out of the water. (shows off the strange lengths of the bill well).
This looks like he is about to pull a fish out or has grabbed something, So maybe its just a hair too early or late to get my more favored bill positions. Not a biggy, but just something I noticed from seeing this so often.
All in all a nice shot, well balanced composition with nice exposure and as I said, you got the catch light on the eye.

Ted I like the timing, exposure job, composition anf the fantastic light producing the great reflexion on the water. I do not mind about the trail of water not being totally leveled. My main concern is that the image seems to ba a bit soft, probably due to downsizing for web presentation, so anoter round of USM would be great. :-)

Good pose, composition and the blacks look good, too. I would only tone down the whites some more.
