    Default Great Egret in Flight

    Canon 40D f 5.6 1/2000 100-400 (400mm).

I was photographing an eagle's nest and this guy appeared suddenly overhead and got one decent shot.. this one.

Hi Mark the shooting angle is not the best in my opinion and the background needs a round of noise reduction but you did an excellent job capturing the bird. The image is very sharp and the whites seems to be well exposed. Keep them coming :-)

You definitely nailed the sharpness and exposure, but as Juan points out some NR is in order. What ISO did you use?

Good points above and nice flyover image. It would have been great if both wings were in the position of the far one. It looks as if there is a S/H halo around the bird.
