My goodness that is just superb Denise! It really pops off the screen. The bird of course is wonderful, but the bubbles really make the image for me.

Nice and low! :) Like the setting and the little swirls of water around the feet. THe bubbles are cool, though I'd do something about the white spot on the bigger one! HOw much of a crop is this? Just asking as I am not seeing as much feather detail as I think I should. :)

I like the angle, exposure control, sharpness and tiny wavelet. I'm a bit undecided about the big bubble on the right.

I'm with Axel about the larger bubble...undecided. I do love the smaller one right above it though. Good low angle, and I love the water filtering through the feet

Excellent low perspective shot and the exposure was handled beautifully. I like the bubble! The image as a whole seems a little over-sharpened.

Nice overall work on this Denise. I am not a fan of the big bubble.
    Love the pose.

Akos, I'm surprised you said -nice and low. I shot this at the same angle I shot yesterdays post and you commented that I needed to get lower.:)

I find this to be a very pleasing image. Nice eye contact, smooth background, gentle wave action at the feet, clean detail on the plumage and a couple of bubbles. I do agree with removing the white spot on the large bubble and its reflection - small nit.

I did say, I was OK with angle but I would have been flat, not that you should have been lower. When I compare the two images side by side, this one appears to me as if the angle of inclanation was somewhat lower than your OC. I have often been wrong.

Denise: excellent image! I wish the large bubble, which supplies an interesting compositional balance, was is sharp focus. Other than that, technically very well done. regards~Bill

Very beautiful Denise, I like everything about this shot. The large bubble is OK and a very common element of the habitat IMO, but I'd remove the white spot.

I think it's a super comp, angle and the bubbles make it for me. Would tone down the bright spot.

The impression could also be due to subject distance. Since the entire bird is in focus at f/7.1 it might have been further away than the OC giving the impression of a lower angle.

Denise, arent these little guys skittish? Why I ask, with you are getting down with the 500 pointed at him in an open enviroment, I would expect them to scamper away. When I was down at the coast a few weeks ago, I was trying to shoot turnstones, and they wouldnt keep still - always walking and looking away.

Outstanding detail, exposure, and colours, and also undecided about popping the larger bubble.

Stuart, The Turnstones were a bit more skittish then these little ones. I sat low in the water and most of the time they came pretty close to me-as long as you didn't make any sudden moves they seemed fine.

Thankyou everyone for taking the time to look in and comment. I appreciate it very much.:)

A very nice one, I like the BG, exposure and angle.
I think the big bubble draw some attention.
