Cute bird and interesting pose, Chris. Bird looks to be angled a little away from parallel to the image plane. I would be tempted to crop a little from below to reduce the OOF rocks. The BG is a little noisy - did you run a shadow/highlight? If so I would probably mask the effect form the BG to keep it darker. Plane of focus seems to be on the wing leaving the head/eye just a touch softer. The colour palette is very pleasing and illustrates the good camouflage with the rounded brown body echoed by the rocks.

Excellent critique by Tony above. Moving left and getting even a bit lower would have been a good plan. And if the little shorebird had hopped onto the rock just behind it and to the right you would really have been in business. I like also that you can see all of the toes of the foot on the rock.

Neat pose and I like the setting. Another vote for a crop off top, right and bottom. Adding to the other comments, I might raise the color temperature a bit, it has a slight blueish cast on my monitor.

Christopher, I agree with the comments already given and would like to say that I really like the pose w/ the raised leg and the rocks add alot of interest to your composition. Your details look good.
