I like this one, too. The alert pose makes this for me. I'm wondering if a slightly lower angle would have helped. Maybe a bit more room top and left. Were they bothered by your presence or did they continue to feed their offspring?

Amazing bird. As per Axel, why so high? Being high brings up the details in the nearer BKRG. I'd vote for a bit more room on the right.

I really like your parrot shots :)
My only nit is the fill flash, which is a little bit too strong for me and give the picture and little bit unnatural look. I agree on the angle, eye level would be nicer :)

    What is BKGR ???

Thanks for comments Art - The tower I used on this occasion is of a modular construction - the smallest section is 2.5 feet. The height of this nest hollow was such that I had to be slightly low looking up (with some sky in BG ) or slightly high looking down into distant field as seen here

Thanks for comments Axel - When erecting a tower at a nest site I start off with just the lower section (5 foot module) and leave in place for a few days before second section is installed, and so on. It's usualy a week before the tower is complete with hide on top. By this stage the birds are performing normally even perching on the roof of the hide :)
