Hi Roy....the light on this looks pretty good to me and the texture in the petals is nice. i love the shadows of the pistils. The greenery around your subject seems to be too distracting to me. You could try cloning it out or at least toning it down

Hi Roy - like the details and the colours - BG doesnt bother me so much - the brighter OOF green area's of leafs and plants in the BG is a little distracting - removing these would certainly draw more attention to your subject.
Some really nice sharp details in the flower petals - Nice :)

    Hi Roy,
You have fine sharp details and good color rendition. I would clone out all of the OOF green foliage in the background...looking forward to your next one...

Bob, Lance and Gus, how does the repost look to you? Did I clone out too much, should I have left the bud on the left in?

Hi Bob - less is more :) Repost is on the money - some cloning marks LRHC.
    Congrats :)

Hi Roy. Great job with this! Love the colors. Repost looks very good, though personally I don't mind the bud in the orignal.

For me, I think you should have left the bud on the left in.

Lance, Christopher, Desmond and Mirenchu, thanks very much for your comments. I think I'll do another with the bud included and see how I like that one.
