    opps..this is a Magellanic! Still jet-lagged after traveling 24 hrs to return home.

    Falklands '09...after making a number of horz this image was taken with a cover shot in mind.

    1Ds Mark III, 500mm w/2x
    Manual, 1/1000 @ f/10, ISO 800
    Post-production- LR2, CS4

    Lovely eye contact and as always exposure is spot on. Think it is a Magellanic rather than a Gentoo.

    You did a great job exposing this picture. Love the detail, especially of the eye. The foam on the waves really adds something special and different...as does the crop.

    I would prefer a horizontal crop on this image.

    If I owned a magazine I would take this as a covershot in a heartbeat Chas! Love the HT, the detail and the colour sceme! Excellent shot
