This little Coastal Brown Cub got to within maybe ten feet of us and the mother perhaps twenty feet away. It was amazing and there were many lost photographic opportunities because they were just too close and by the time I realized how close they were coming I was afraid to make any noise and sudden movements while changing to a shorter lens . A 24 to 120 or 24 to 70 would have been perfect for many of the captures. It truly was the thrill of a life time. I guess by now you can tell that I was close to hyperventilating the whole time I was there :)

Another excellent bear image Judy. Great sharpness and composition (as well as subject matter). Can't wait to see more.

Great details in the fur and some nice details in the rock he is standing on. My only problem with the image is the merge of the cub's chin with the rock.

Very sweet baby, great EXP and lots of detail in the fur. No eye contact because he needed to look where he was walking :)

You must have been jumping out of your skin with excitement. Beautiful, sweet image. One suggestion would be to darken the watery BG.

Nicely detailed on both the fur and the "perch". The sly glance provides just enoough eye contact for me.

There have certainly been some wonderful bear pictures of late and this is another fine example. I have to agree with Art regarding the chin situation, but you cannot have everything all of the time.

    Hey Judy Lynn,
I'm OK with the position....as they go clamming.....looking for critters in this behavior...so I am OK with it......perhaps selectively darkening the rock under the chin would help those who want seperation.....but again....I am OK with it as presented. This is just very nicely done for my tastes!

Really nice Judy, must have been quite a trip. Don't mind the pose and like the high key look. Looking forward to more too.
