Go easy on me! I haven't done any bird photography in MONTHS...I've been caring for a pregnant wife ;).

    Details:
    Nikon D300
    Tamron 200-500mm
ISO 800 (this was a bad mistake...forgot to change...shame on me)
    Manual Exposure 0.001 sec (1/1600)

Cool pose, good eye contact and angle. I would tone down the whites on the chest a bit. It would have been nice to see the legs but then you probably wouldn't have gotten such a nice BG.

Great of you to support your wife!

Philip, I love the fluffed up look and the eye contact agree about feet. I also think it's nice you've been caring for your pregnant wife. Congratulations to you both. You'll have to post an image of your child for us.

The ruffled feathers make this image for me. Personally not seeing the feet doesn't bother me too much since you included plenty of room for the virtual feet and the feathers hold my attention. I do however agree wit Axel on toning down the whites a bit. Thanks for sharing.

Phil I like the low angle a lot and the ruffled feathers too. Whites are a bit bright and I would run another round of USM for web presentation. Take care of your wife and baby :-)
