    Assignment Impala Lily:
Taken at 8.29am. while on a game drive on a farm in Hoedspruit, Mpumalanga - so hopped off and used the Canon 40D with 24 - 105L lens set to Manual focus.
    I used a monopod and self timer, f/11, 1/125sec, exp - 0.67 ISO 100

I have cropped another bud off from the left which I wanted in ( will post some other time) which is why I wasn't plumb centre and had a shadow:o but I still like the colours and detail :).

A beautiful flower, quite sharp and detailed. I would want to see more room around the flower, but otherwise, very well displayed.

    Hi Jeni,
I like the image and capture...would recommend on giving your lady more room all the way around, it feel too tight, also would clone out the closed OOF flower on top of your main subject, this takes away from the compositional value...I like the color rendition and the sharp details and texture in the petals...looking forward to your next one...

Hi Jeni...Nice image with a nice bg. I completely agree with Gus that you need to clone out the oof flower on top to improve the composition. I can see you were careful to leave room around the flower and not do any clipping but it still feels cramped...You needed a bit more room all around

Nice capture Jeni, great colors and lots of details. Do agree with Connie regarding more space.
    Congrats

Great shooting angle and use of light to create shadows in the image. It is a bit tight for me too, but just a tad.

BG is nice, might have open up the lens a bit (if you have room) for DoF blur and to support slow shutter speed on a monopod - well done.
