Very fine image, Kiran. Perhaps a little more room above and a little less at the bottom, but that is very minor. I will be India in November for a month and am looking forward to seeing some of these wonderful birds. Congrats!

Well done, Kiran. You have nice detail here. Typical drying pose, interesting perch and nice BG. Congratulations.

    Kiran,

We call it the anhinga over here. Snake bird, too. Great capture of typical wing drying behavior of this species. Good sharpness and details. I can appreciate how difficult it can be to focus on their tiny eyes!

Thanks Chris, I just felt the bird would get too centered hence I opted for this crop, We welcome you to India Chris, November is a great time to Bird in India. We have a lot of migeratory birds here then.

Hi Kiran, here in SA, we call him a Darter, ( anhinga melanogaster )Super comp and pose, and I like the detail from the wings. These characters are difficult to expose, but you have done well there. Overall nice and sharp, and just love that BG. Great image, I like this.

Just fantastic Kiran. I would love to see this one at 100% size because the details of the feathers in the back looks really nice. The semiopened wings and the head turn are fantastic. Very good job!

Cool pose, perch and BG. I would tone down the whites on the head a bit and would try to get more details in the blacks but certainly like it as presented.
