Another pic from the Halfpipe Competition in Squaw Valley, CA, in 2007.
An unexpected insight during this event was that the AF system of even the 30D (and my acquisition and tracking skills) are actually pretty darn good. I guess it helps when your subjects are relatively large and well-lit but still I was stunned at the number of keepers based on focus. Not sure why it is so much lower for me with BIFs.
