    Default Eygyptian Vulture

This photograph was created near Bangalore, India. My first sightings of the Eygyptian Vulture. A truly magnificient bird. Unfortunately the light was very bad and it was even raining slightly. Tried to make the most of it.

    Canon 50D, 100-400mm L IS USM, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/500, full frame image

Look forward to your feedback and suggestions...

    Beautiful image Mrudul
I think you can boost contrast and sharpness here and some playing with S/H to pop it up

I concur with Harshad's assessment, Mrudul.
You've captured the essence of a most magnificent bird.
I find the head feathers and coloring really attractive, possibly lending the image to a second look as a tight crop on the head and upper body alone.
Good work overall under challenging light conditions!

Interesting shot with rain streaks in the BG. I agree that it could do with a bit of lift though.

I realy like the atmosphere, the rain and the cold colors contribute well for that.
I think that a vertical comp can work very well here.
