    Default Black Phoebe

While trying to get some good shots of a Wood Stork in Arizona this little guy just happen to jump down beside me. I am still pretty new at photography so all C & C help is really appreciated.

Hi Bernie. What a lovely stroke of luck to see this little bird. Love the alert pose and the excellent eye contact and head turn. Good exposure and good detail in the blacks. Looks like some strong light judging by the light on the beak but you handled it all very well and I like the low angle. Thanks for sharing.

I love these little guys. Nice capture, Bernie. Exposure, sharpness and eye contact all look really nice here. The angle of light was not the best, but his head was turned just enough to catch the sunlight. If you shot this from a lower angle, the image would have been improved even further (although I realize you probably would have flushed the bird had you moved your position). Better yet would be to find another opportunity on a more interesting perch.

I like the eye contact, sharpness and pose in this one. You could try to tone down the highlights some more and there is a slight sharpening halo around the bird. Keep them coming!
