Here's another of my dead leaf images. Any comments or suggestions would be most appreciated!

    Olympus SP-550 UZ
    f5.6 @ 1/100, ISO 200, -0.7 EV
    Aperture priority mode, pattern metering
Processed in PS CS2; slight crop, curves adjustment, channel mixer, added sepia tone using gradient map, burned a few areas, and added a vignette

Hi Christopher, I like the color tone of your image. I wish the main leaf was higher in the frame and that the stem was not clipped. The image has a nice slight sheen to it but might need a bit of contrast. I am enjoying your leaf images as much as I liked your barn images!!

Hi Christopher, I'm with Denise on liking your sepia tonality. Your leaf is placed on a nice diagonal and agree it should be higher in the frame. IMO, The leaf being your center of interest I would like to see distinguish itself from the other material in the backround in some way.

Christopher, I think what you might need here is a little practice in burning and dodging! I'm with the others that everything is very close to being perfect - but you need more separation between the focal point and the other debris. One way to do this is to dodge (lighten) the top leaf in places and burn (darken) the bottom leaves in places. Also, you might try selecting the BG only and doing a really slight gaussian blur to further dilute them. You want to be able to see them but you also want that main leaf to pop against them.

Thanks everyone! How does this look? I tried burning and dodging as suggested to help separate the main leaf from the BG and also cropped a little bit from the top.
