    Default Lake Ontario Waves

Took this shot at Lake Ontario the other evening; wasn't sure if the second wave (the back one) added anything to the shot; what you think of it? does it take away from the main wave?

To me the second wave is a plus and adds balance and depth to the image. You did a good job selecting SS. I might suggest cropping about 1/2 the sky to focus even more on the waves.

    Hi David,
another vote that the second wave adds interest and like Rene like the SS you chose although I may tweak and brighten some of the whites and splashes. I'm going to go in the other direction than Ed and recommend a crop off the bottom....just above the tip of the dark wavelets above you signature......helps make the base smooth.....you can easily check that by scrolling the browser. I think tweaking it a bit (try an LCE and see what that does) and cropping it will help this scene realize its full potential.

Yes it does.....but I may prefer the sky back! I do like the bit of brightness in the splash......nice job with the suggestions!
