The death of a rose. :( I have another version where I added a polar coordinates filter and it looks so odd, one probably would not pick it. :)

Akos, Did you hand write your sig.? It looks great. I would love to see the orig. for this. I like the HK effect that you have achieved. Might evict the (second stem?) It does look like a very dead rose and I like your title. Nicely presented.

Thank you Denise. Appreciate your kind critique. You are right, I should make this the focal point and evict the other bits. No, signature is a font in CS4 called Mistral. I have my hand written signature that I will eventually want to incorporate into my pics. Just haven't had time to work out how. Ryan Lambert told me, I tried once, but all these layers and things are frustrating. I am a simple person in PS I guess. :D Though I did use a layer mask a few minutes ago as I remembered what you taught me. :)

Attached the FF original of a wilted, dead little rose. :(

Neat-I love the colors of dying roses. They are usually so muted. This one is great. If you need help just give a shout.

I took another picture last night with less obstructions and did a topaz, desat and added an alien skin old film filter. Not sure, so many ways to bake this HK cookie. I am becoming obsessed. :D

Very nice rendition. I do like the way the dead petals look in your first post-but the BG and drop shadow in your last post are very nice.

Hi Akos, Prefer your second rendition but would have liked the single stem rather than it float within the frame.
I see a very light stem thats not too distinguishable..

Nice image and presentation. I like both, but prefer the second ... especially if you darkened the stem a little. But,

    Your image ... Your vision.

The harsh lighting reminds me of an old black and white film noir movie, and I think is very appropriate for your theme Akos. Like the first version, but I think Denise has a good idea about removing the second stem.
