While photographing American Wigeons at a local pond, this little treat flew in and landed for a bit so I tried to make the best of it. Thanks for looking.

Very nice capture Len and well framed with a nice head turn and good detail. Also a lovely BG. Well captured and thanks for sharing.

Very nice, Len. I like the head turn and the detail-wish he would have turned around for you!

Seems to be a good day for kingfishers. Excellent image, great BG.

Specs always help us with suggestions.... Needed a head turn all the way back to parallel. Nice BKGR but your being slighty higher would have placed the head well away from the darker tones at the top.

Thanks for the comments. Arthur, I was photographing from inside my Jeep and using the door window as a support so there was no way to get a higher angle.

Had you raised the window? Sat on a pillow?

Both can work in a pinch.
