    I like to go with my husband while he takes bird pictures, but he was at work so I went for a ride around the beach and this fellow was hanging out. All C&C welcome, Thanks

    I like the pose and perch. I like your composition too, well done. This guy looks like he is about to bolt! I would be tempted to lighten the face/eye a bit more, and a bit more sharpening would make the fine detail pop nicely. With those shutter speeds you had enough leeway to close down the aperture a bit as this lens can have a tendency to be slightly softer wide open.

    Nice shot overall, agree with Dan's comments, to my eyes the bird doesn't look sharp enough perhaps due to wide open aperture. lightening up the body helps, wish for better HA.
