    Assignment: Macro - “Nature’s Edge”

This is an example of Mother Nature’s repeated symmetrical pattern in the garden, painted with a Nikon D300, using a Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 IF-ED macro lens.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 60mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/125sec. - f/40 / exposure comp @ +0.3EV / ISO @ 320 / white balance @ auto / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution – ambient light / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform – hand held.

    Comments greatly appreciated...

Nice leaves, like the comp with the in focus leave to the left then the OOF ones to the right, leading your eye down showing the pattern of the leave, Great job :)

Hi Gus - like the comp - OOF areas are nicely balanced.
    Cool.

Like the monotone palette and the sharpness of the edges which seem to form droplet patterns as DOF decreases at the back. Very nice Gus.

I guess nature has mastered leading lines and knows how to show visual rhythm - interesting picture, I like the LRHC line to the OOF corner.
