    Default Forster's Tern in water

This one is from earlier in the summer. This tern landed close to me in the water. I took a number images at low angle but decided to use this one with submerged feet. Does this work? Settings were-

    40D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm hand held
1/1600 sec, f/8 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: -1 ISO: 400

Background NR and applied usm. Your c&c would be appreciated.

Tough composition, I actually think it is quite good, the pose and the open bill make good action so the steep angle can be overlooked. Nice colors, nice blue, a patch of white around the bill looks flat but it is not overexposed.

Pretty much my thought, too. Like the color of the water. I might lighten the area around the eye a bit to make the eye stands out more.

Your comp works for me, Indranil. I like the visible feet, calling pose and eye contact.
Well done on presenting a slightly 'unorthodox' angle and giving us food for thought.

I would have likes a slightly lower angle but I get what you were trying for.. seeing the feet is nice.

Good job on the whites, nice BG and I like the shallow water. Better HA and lower angles have been mentioned.
