OK Jules.....heres a waterllilly since you get creeped out by the spiders! Tis' the season....Longwood Gardens......as always I opt for huge DOF!
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 180mm macro at f29 and 1/60 sec. at ISO 800 and the MT24 twin lights at full power......slight crop top. Hand held.

Roman, The details you got on this are terrific! Nice lighting and the center of your flower glows. Very nice composition.

I keep coming back to this image looking for something to say. All I keep coming up with is "perfect"!

Fantastic image, Roman. Crispiness of everything in this image stunned me. Great light control and exposure. Congrats for a perfect image. TFS.

    Roman,

This is outstanding. I really like flash photos that look natural. Great details. Love the D.R. with your technique, Sigma 180 & 1D Mk 111. Way to go.

    Please keep 'em coming....

Yeah baby...now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! Not a bug in sight! They didn't tell me that I'd be critiquing bugs and creepy crawlies and lizards and SNAKES when I offered to moderate in macro. I guess I should be more careful next time...

Well, this is a humdinger of an image, Roman. Seriously, how could it be better? The lighting is phenomenal. The water drops are clear and crisp. The details on everything else are razor sharp. You're making me almost want to break out my tripod now and again...

Love it! The large DOF is perfect but the water droplets put it over the top.
