I like the setting, light and BG. I would tone down the highlights on the neck and it would be great to see a larger version of this image.

I also vote for a bigger image size. Love the setting and killer BG.

    Hi Alex

I love the setting of this photo which is very typical for stonechat with this male being perched on lookout in some tall vegetation. I always enjoy photogaphing them as they are relatively confiding which makes a change for birds in the UK.

As mention it would be good to this image in a larger posted size. The white neck band looks a bit hot which is the main area you have to watch out for when photographing these as it is very bright and easy to burn out.

    Cheers

Alexander, lovely setting for the beautiful bird, very well composed with a very neat BG and sharpness.

The environmental feel is outstanding. I, personally, never know about this type of HA. I like the stare, but a slight turn to the bird's right would be nice. However, then it is very traditional. So, I like it as is. How's that for concrete advice???

Lovely composition, very well done. I wonder if you could have shot from a slightly lower angle to get the flora out from behind the bird's legs, which seem to clutter it a bit.
