    Default Peekaboo

I photographed this Green Heron at a local pond this morning. The bird was quite relaxed and I got several full frame images.

Wonderful colours captured from the heron, and love the overall detail too. The pose with the tucked in head puts it over the top for me. Well captured.

Great color and detail in the feathers. A different pose to be sure. It works in it's own unique way

Beautiful light, color and detail. Comp. is great as well. Wisk for a smoother BG but sometimes it just isn't possible. Still one fine image as is.

Love the pattern and the details on the coverts. The preening pose and the one-legged stance is too good.

Certainly a different pose with great detail. The behavior depicted is a fresh change from the traditional. My only suggestion would be to tone down the white highlights running across the image above the bird's head, back and shoulder.
