Default Theme - Jazi and family on a Hot August Night

This is a continuation of Jazi, the new baby Rhino at Lion Country Safari. This image was taken on a hot day when all the animals, and myself, were seeking shelter from the sun and heat. They didn't have an AC unit, like I did in the car , so they were relaxing and just trying to find any shade.

Image was cropped and cloned to improve scene. Hue and saturation were adjusted as well as the use of Poster Edge and other filters. Finally a lighting effect was added to the image, to modify the lighting in the area of the large Rhino and darken the area near Jazi.

    Enjoy!

Hi Mark, I think you might want to clone the (top of the fence?)The straight line is a tiny bit distracting. Nice to get an entire Rhino family in one shot. The colors you have created are nice. I like the mood of your image.

Hi Mark, Agree with Denise's comments and like the 3 rhinos in a descending order which makes for a nice comp. A bit more room on the right would be more to my liking...

Thanks for the comments and viewing.

I left the wall (aka fense) in, as it made sense to me as a retaining wall and the fact that it was not horizontal gave it a place to me. I liked the dark terminous border of the right side and darkened the left border area to complement it. The area off the right border was very busy with man made fixtures. But I understand your comment as well. What you see is what is there, or is it? ;) As for the border.

    Thanks again, appreciate it.

Good work Sir. I find the line on top a little distracting. Sorry. :) Otherwise a very well done image, has a really eerie mood for me. Thanks for sharing. :)

    Thanks Cheryl & Ákos

    Appreciate the comments.

No problem Ákos, I just felt there was too much red and left the "retaining" wall based on my engineering BG. I figured I needed something to hold the "only hill in Florida" up! ;)

    Locals will understand! ;)
