    Default Halfpipe, Squaw Valley, CA

A few years ago I was in Squaw Valley, CA, when the Honda Ski Tour had a halfpipe competition one weekend and I got a pass to photograph from the deck.:D It was my first time watching this sport life and of course photographing it. Man, what action and stunts these kids pull. The tower in the background measures the height from the top of the deck. And the halfpipe itself is 15 ft deep. So, this fellow is about 25 ft above ground. And this was during warm-up...

    Hope you enjoy. JR

WOW! They can keep their action. I don't particularly like heights. :) Neat image though. TFS mate. :)
