Having lots of fun with this theme, changing the colors on butterflies :). This is an old image of a painted lady butterfly on which I had used a technique known as "out of bounds" or "OOB." For those who might not be familiar with this technique, it's where you make a frame in the image and then have part of your subject extend out of the frame. For this theme, I did a color shift on the butterfly using hue/saturation and selective color and then applied the palette knife filter. Any C&C are welcome!
Hi Christopher, Normally I don't like a frame around an image but in this case you added an overlap which gave the image another dimension. The diagonal flow in the backround and the vibrant colors make an interesting and creative image!!
I like the way the diagonal comp here, Christopher. It works well with the OOB technique. It might be fun to try with some different types of frames, too.
