The Barn owl that came to visit a while ago - Whilst I cant be sure I doubt that I will see my friend again - not at all common in my area - Driving out the road last week and came across a dead Barn Owl on the side of the road - obviously had been hit by a car (As they often are) :(

Use of flash as main light source is perfect (1/8 setting - spot on) and sorry about the other Owl. When we lose a beautiful creature like this, it makes me pause.

Love the whites. and the sharpness. We should do an assignment with flash as main light. You could teach us Lance. Sorry to hear of the owl. I think the barn owls actually have terrible vision from what I have heard. Sad in any case.

Hi Lance, what a great opportunity to get these shots! Love the pure white contrasting with the green foliage. Nice!!

Hi Jackie - I am flattered that you think my flash as main light is good enough that I could teach you something.
I will post another ofr the owl in the next couple of days with a more detailed explanation of How I setup for it.
