Amazing colors and bird. Love the green infiltrated between the blues.
There seems to be a purple cast on the bark of the tree, or, is that its color? The beak looks like has some damage, may be from breaking seeds?

Wow. Intense colors. Agree that the bark largely has a purple cast. JR

Beautiful bird, I like the eye contact, soft light and BG. I'm not familiar with the species and am not sure if there is a color cast.

Lovely shot Simon. Their colours do develop extra richness at this time of the year but I agree that there is a slight (lilac on my screen) cast.

Great pose captured here, Simon. I also like the colours and textures of the eucalypt trunk.

Very nice Simon. I like the spread tail. I think the bark looks fine as the bird's plumage appears perfectly normal. Perhaps then flash gave it the extra boost in saturation?

You 'mates' surely have some colorful birds downunder. I also guess that's the reasoning for the angle on the tree!!
