    Default Opportunistic Gull

1st Year Black Back just sitting on the shoreline waiting for some innocent juvi skimmer to come by and become the next meal. These gulls wait all through the breeding season for the young skimmers to leave the colony so they can prey on them.

Nice comp, low angle, pose, and exposure. It just needs a little more pop via contrast boost.

Very nice pastel like colors. The whole image but especially the subject is very pale due to the lack of contrast.
I like it anyway for the low level and the nice eye contact.

Nice pose, sharpness, BG, low angle, like the color of sand/green beach. I agree with boosting the contrast for a better result.

Very nice composition. Low angle, light and bg. Agree on the contract boost.

The eye-contact, details and low angle makes this a beautiful image.

First offf...I like the image a whole lot.

The one thing I would have tried was to clone the water background over the OOF tanish area on the far left side.

I'm going to disagree with the majority relative to a contrast boost as I like the softness of the light...at least that's what my eyes and brain tell me :)

Funny how it took some out of towners to make us take a fresh look at gulls.

Lovely low angle, sharpness and composition. I go against the general consensus and keep the contrast as is. Seems overall a scene with soft colors and light. JR

I love the soft light, the SH, the look back head turn, and the smattering of seaweed. (Add green whenever possible). Good seeing you.

    Joe,

Love this environmental portrait and great low angle perspective. It has a nice artistic feel to it also.
    Thanks for sharing...
