Hi Jeff, I've been waiting for the next installment of your "Life in the Lot" series, and this one is great. It absolutely qualifies IMO.
I love the soft light and the fact that you went for the low angle - that makes the image much better than it otherwise would be. I like how the color of the columns is so similar to the bird's colors. I also like the leader, the followers, and the slowpoke bringing up the rear. I don't see how you could have handled this any better.
Can you tell us where the building is? Columns like that make me think Washington, DC.
Looking forward to your next image in the series!!
Good guess on the location, but not there yet. I agree on the mid tones. I kept the image light to ensure the head of the lead bird was not engulfed by the hedge and to mimic the colors of the geese.

Buy that man a steak dinner. Few people know, Nashville is named the "Greece of the South" and we have a full scale replica of the Parthenon in one of our city parks, nice once boss. You even got the name of the park right - you da man.
It was the backdrop for this morning's picture.

Wow, Jeff, I had no idea about that building. That's pretty wild.
I didn't pick up on what would improve your image, but the repost definitely looks better.
Thanks, I was too worried about the lead duck's head against dark BG (should have selectively adjusted it - not entire image) and kept the image a tad light. Once Al and Chris mentioned the MT's, I went to levels and made a slight adjustment and the results were better IMO as well.
Great series Jeff, I like Al's idea of enhancing the midtones. Easy to do with selective colour by adding blacks to the neutrals and a bit of black to the blacks.
Thanks, I used levels but often use this method, in fact had already done so but overrode its impact with exposure slider to lighten picture. I have 3 more and plan to cap the series at 10, thanks for the support it has been fun.
