A brilliniant concept that does not quite work for me. I love the mood but the lack of room at the bottom for the vitrual feet of the gnu hurts the image. Sharpest focus is on the zebras. With the gnu being the predominant subject it needed to be in sharp focus. The the zebras would have been more mysterious.
A much shorter focal length here with sharp focus on the wildebeest might have produced a truly spectacular image.

Wow. Massive potential but has to remain unfulfilled. Key point being as Artie mentioned the Wildebeest needs to be the focus. Thanks for sharing as is a wonderful moment. Hope you have some other options from this sequence? or maybe some selective sharpening on the wb can give some at this size.
Haim, am sure you have spent a lot of money and time to be there to witness this , thanks for sharing, firstly. !!
I find it interesting that the Zebra is drinking in the croc infested waters while the others are making a mad dash and the wildebeest appears to be almost standing still. Were there no crocs around ? It would be great if you could explain the scene just a bit, I am very much interested. Thanks !!
