Harshad-bhai, Thanks for getting this image up. It is spectacular. An amazingly beautiful bird with excellent image optimization. The colors are astounding and I love the over-the-shoulder view. The head, the back, and the tail are all amazing. Unless that is a really big fly then this is a really tiny bird.

My only wish would be for a bit more of a head turn. With the over the shoulder images the very best HA is perfectly square to the imaging sensor. Still, I keep scrolling up to take in this beauty.

ps: A bit more of a head turn might have reduced the sheen on the upper mandible....

Beautiful Image.. I like the HA and the insect in the beak.. The colors and the sharpness are great.. The BG is very good, except for that white spot just above the back of the bird. That is kind of distracting to me....

    Overall, very nice..

Great colors and a cool shot of a bird I love... I cannot add any more critique than Artie has already give ;) As you would say TFS...

this image just leaped out at me! so so sharp with great colours Harshad! Agree with Artie regarding HA (but a minor thing as this image is tops) and Kobus regarding tightness at the top...

Harshad, I am blown away both by the bird and the photo. I think if I saw this creature I would be too excited to adjust my settings. Don't worry about the HA police. They're all jealous.

Every time I see the thumbnail for this bird I want to see the bigger image. This one is another killer image. The details, color, composition, perch, background are all great. The bug in the beak adds the extra little touch. The small sheen noted by Artie on the beak is really easy to fix with a bit of burning. This image is just stunning. Big congrats (again)

Love the beauty of the bird and the colours are something else. Excellent shot Harshad, I too wish the white spot on back wasn't there.

Amazing colors and details presented here. Love it. Which the white bg elements was not at the back.
Luckily doesn't bother me too much.

Fabulous image. I realize I am a rookie at this but, what about removing some of the catchlight, if ethics allow?

Susan, that is an absurd comment. I clearly stated that the image was fabulous. And I always critique each image as if it were my own. While I am envious of such a great image I can assure you that jealousy was not my motivation for mentioning that the HA was a bit less than ideal.

As I was the only one who mentioned it I am curious as to who the "all" are.

And please do explain how you knew what my motivation was.

The subject gives me goosebumps with all of those spectacular colors and the prey really adds to it.

I agree with Artie about a bit more of a head turn....but I'd be happy as a clam to have created this one as it is.

One thing I would have done would have been to clone out the bright white area to the right of the birds shoulder....it does detract to my eyes from an otherwise superb background.

Those colors are insane. Great sharpness & composition too. And the insect really tops it off. Also like the perch. Great background but for the bright white area. JR
