Very beautiful, Alan. Your work is amazing! I would crop a sliver off left to get that cut off flower out of the frame.
    Thanks for sharing this :)

Love that off center composition. The red and the green contrast nicely.

I really like how delicate the perch is and the superior control of the red exposure. Would make a nice vertical too.

Beautiful stuff Alan. I love the subtle colours of the perch and the background. I also really like the head position and eye contact.

A beautiful bird and a beautiful image. The flower in front of the breast is a bit of a concern and there are cropping and cloning possibilities on the left but this is still a stunning photo.

Fabulous bird, and a good example of how difficult reds are. It looks like they are blown here. I know there has been some discussion in the past of how to prevent it.

Superb image of a beautiful bird. Exquisite BG and perch. Would have preferred not to see the flower in front of the birds chest, but that is the only 'nit'. The rest is perfect in my book.

    "Bull's Blood"
I read that that in Mexico thay call the vermillion flycatcher "sangre de toro", which means bull's blood.
