I could not resist trying out the twirls! (thank you Denise). Earlier today I saw the trailer for James Cameron's upcoming 'Avatar' and reminded me of his earlier movie 'Abyss' and the non-terrestrial intelligences. Experimented on few forms and shapes and finally settled on this one. Tried four layers, two color shifts and finally denoise. I will reveal the original tomorrow. Hope you like it.

The Abyss came to mind immediately!! I love the color choices and the far away feel you have created. Great to see you experimenting w/ 4 layers, I'll have to try that!!

Denise, Dave, thanks. The original is a moon jelly from Monterey Bay aquarium. I had used the same one for the miniworld theme. Here is the link http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...194#post264342

Indranil - this is really neat. I'll have to go look for the original. It looks very other-worldly:)

This is excellent Indy. It does remind me of an alien indeed. What is the original? I am aching to find out. :)

Thanks Indy. As soon as I saw the post (and without scrolling down) I knew it was a Cnidarian. That is, a sea jelly. :D
