Looks like Bison rut already started. Fantastic image and quite a story teller.

Hi Michael, Love the fierce look with the misty mood of the image. Nice and sharp and in this case the OOF foreground doesn't bother me.Two things I would suggest to improve the image. I would get rid of the white area on the lower right behind his back and have wished for more room on the left since he is going in that direction.
    A dramatic image nevertheless....

    Dave,

Bull Bison role in the dust and create dust clouds during rutt. Bigger the cloud better chance of mating. Dust raising is white in color and created a cloud around the bison. This image is a very good representation this process.
Also looks like Bison is not going to the left. He just finished a barrel role and stood up to check on potential females.

    Michael,
I am assuming this is a rutting bison image. Correct me if I am wrong.

I love the image as presented. Especially the forebdoing look and the careful framing/cropping. And the very nice EXP.

Very strong and powerful image. Love the way the head pops through the dust created. Good shot Sir!

    Hey Michael,
Really great action and capture. I agree with Dave that the whitish bush on the RH side could be toned down a bit. I also agree with him on more room on the left (he's looking that way) and am actually surprised that Artie liked the tight crop as he has a fondness for calling me Mr. "Too Tight":D. All in all nicely handled on the exposure and mood.

Excellent comp, exposure and detail. I find both versions powerful, but the repost has even more impact. Well done!
