    Gary very moody & spooky, but about 90% of photo is dark to black a pity about it, it does add a bit to mood, I would have a fill flash to lighten the BG, maybe PS can do it for you.

    Lots of shadows and head pointing away from you. Nice low angle and sharpness. JR

    My personal rule #3b: never press the shutter button when the bird is in filtered light, i.e., part of the bird in the sun, part in shade....

    What likely would have worked here would have been for you to photograph the reflection only and then turn it upside down. Contrast in a reflection is greatly reduced.... (Look how sweet the REFL looks.)
