Juvenile Peregrine Falcons make quite a racket when they're hungry. This one was calling out for mom to bring her some food.

As I look at the image, I'm thinking I might recrop in a 4x6 ratio and remove a bit of the ledge. What do you all think?

Not sure on this one. The ledge gives the feeling of height, crop more of it
off, and you lose the effect. If bottom, don't remove too much! But love
the image.
Lovely shot Doug. Go with your instincts. First thought I had was a tad off the ledge too. Not much. Love the pose, ruffled feathers and that bg. Keith's re-post flagged up as I posted mine... :). Like it and looks about right.
Appreciate the rework Keith! I like it.

super shot Doug , repost looks good , IMHO both post looks great , ruffled feathers , nice BG and open beak makes it for me
TFS
I'd love to own either one. The BG sets off the bird perfectly. Love the pose and behavior captured.
Great image Doug. Love the BG, perch, and hungry expression. Were you in a blind or hidden, or relatively out in the open?

I love the OP.
The open beak, feathers and BG makes this one a real gem.

Nice shot, I prefer the repost, it has more emphasis on the bird. wish all the tails was there, is this from SoCal?
DOug -
stunning image for all the above reasons
personally, prefer the tighter crop
more remarkable is sharpness for a hand held image of a bird at 160 feeet using the 500mmf4
nicely done
Peter
Great job taking a bit of a risk to get a awesome shot Doug. I do like the repost with the ledge a little smaller but I can't take my eyes off the falcon so not much else matters to me.
Just as well the some judge asked you to move seing that the cliff was quite high, good shot, both IMO
I prefer the composition in the repost. But fantastic pose, sharpness, colors and background in the first place. Congrats, JR
Beautiful one Doug, all said above, I dont mide the extra space as presented in the OP.. congrats...
I really like the singing pose and the bg`s color!
Ditto all of the positives above. I too prefer the repost. I only wish that the bird's head were turned a bit more towards us.

The details are amazing! Can't choose between the OP & RP, both are equally good to me. Do you have any feeding pictures? If so, would love to see them. Congrats for this very well made image.
Thanks for the c&c everyone!
